Winter Doesn't Mean You're Stuck

Winter Doesn't Mean You're Stuck

There is something about winter that quietly reminds me we aren't meant to be in full bloom all the time.

The trees stand bare without apology. The mornings arrive a little slower. Nature doesn't resist the season it's in. It simply trusts that growth is still happening, even when it can't be seen.

I wonder what would happen if we offered ourselves the same grace.

Last month, I wrote about slowing down. Maybe this month is about trusting what slowing down makes space for.

We live in a world that celebrates constant movement, yet some of life's deepest growth happens in the quiet. Not when we're striving, but when we're listening. Not when we have all the answers, but when we're willing to sit with the questions.

Looking back, the seasons I thought I was standing still were often the seasons that changed me the most. They taught me to let go of who I thought I needed to be and gently led me back to who I already was.

I think that's one of the beautiful things about faith. We don't always see what YAHWEH is doing while we're walking through it. Sometimes we only recognise His fingerprints when we look back.

So if this season feels slower than you expected, maybe you haven't fallen behind.

Maybe your roots are simply growing deeper.

Maybe this quiet is preparing you for what's next.

Be gentle with yourself.

Trust the season.

And trust that even when life feels still, YAHWEH is never finished writing your story.

Perhaps this is what finding our way home looks like. One quiet season, one faithful step, and one gentle reminder at a time.
